Rajendra Tamrakar,Kathmandu, on 08 July, 2015, FEDO has shared earthquake emergency work and experiences towards the DFID official representatives with Tom Wingfield Team leader Governance and Service Delivery, Department for International Development Nepal and the representative of DFID Ms. Karuna Onta today at the office of FDEO, Kupondole.
The objectives of the meeting were to share the FEDO's earthquake emergency work, to share information regarding on relief distribution, challenges and future plan with DFID's.
The meeting was welcomed to the DFID officials and facilitated by the Durga Sob, President of FEDO, and then she has continued with general introduction of FEDO, its establishment, mission, vision.
In this sharing meeting, Emergency Support Officer of FEDO Mr. Buddhi Bal Magarati were presented a presentation on 'FEDO's work in Earthquake Emergency - 2015).
The meeting/presentation covered the overall emergency work, experiences, challenge and FEDO's way forward towards in the reconstruction and rehabilitation process to ensure the Dalit survivors of earthquake affected for just and equitable rehabilitation process.
The DFID officials came up with the several queries regarding the reconstruction and resettlement, status of local level government institutions. Ward Citizen Forum (WCF), Community Awareness Center (CAC) and other humanitarian situation of Dalit in earthquake affected districts.
At last two way interactive sessions has made on the issues, challenges and possibilities for the partnership in future to work on Dalit issues in earthquake affected districts.
